No Fence intended – None Taken!

The slag stone wall retaining the embankment on the Platform 1  access ramp has been the subject of considerable movement in places and consequently it needs extra retaining measures on the weak spots and re construction. Building Services are due to undertake  the first part of this work, which began  this week with the removal of the  temporary fencing. Tim drew the short straw to put the fencing in storage , which  he did today. He  sent me the following report:-

Bill,

You asked for some pictures of the wall re-building work.  Alas there doesn’t seem to have been any work apart from removing the temporary fence and existing sandbag structure.  So these snaps are essentially ‘before’ images! The first is the collapse part way up the slope, the others at the bottom.
